I fractured my left leg in 1996, had a rod and screws put in. I was ok for the longest time. Now, I would say for the last 3 months, I have burning on top of my left leg. I wonder if I am not getting inflammation or maybe the rod needs to come out because my leg is making to much bone marrow. I take Gapabatein and 1/2 vicodin 500mg when burning does get bad. Anyone have any suggestions for me.

Thank you

Welcome TuttiFrutti! (Love the name) tongue

UT! OH! shakehead ...that doesn't sound good!...and really the best advice you will recieve is to get to a Dr and let a professional take a peek at it. We simply cannot diagnose, and would not want a member to rely on a suggestion. We could guess all day long, but in the end a Dr is the best bet for something like this.

We are glad you came here for support though, and invite you to stay with us through this time of suffering, as we are a suppport forum for chronic pain.

Enjoy!...and again Welcome to the CP Forum!

Hi Tutti, I wanted to pop on and welcome you and say hello too. There is no telling what can be causing this problem, but I sure would get in to see my dr and not wait any longer. Sometimes catching things early can save a lot of grief later on down the line.

Please keep us posted on how you are doing and also what your dr says is going on with this leg. Take care.

Amy, I deleted the duplicate posts for you. Sometimes it is real easy to hit the submit button more than once and not realize it has happened, lol. I have this before too.
