We're at McDonalds again. Hopefully this will be our last time because we should be able to get internet tomorrow (fingers crossed).

I've been without my patch since last Thursday, and now I am going thru withdrawls again. :( My new pcp had to have a urine sample before she would write the scripts. I go tomorrow to get my blood drawn and give the urine sample.

I can't believe I'm going thru this again. If it wasn't for Medicaid transportation, I wouldn't. I would have my scripts and have my patches. Yes, I'm very angry. I'm really tired of this.

I'm going to ask the one drawing my blood tomorrow how long it takes for the doctor to get the results of the urine test. Then I'm going to make an appointment for that day or the day after and go pick my scripts up. That way I get those suckers in my hands.

I hope everyone is having as good a day as possible and with low pain.

love and hugs
Loretta

Loretta...hope you get your hands on your meds soon. I think it is awful that you have had to go without them to begin with. I will keep you in my prayers and hope that helps you get through this terrible time.

Hang in there...Amy

Hi Loretta,

I know you will be so happy to get your internet again and to be able to skip the trip to the big yellow arches.

I really am sorry about your issues with your meds.  It would seem reasonable that they get the paperwork from the last Dr's office and your history would clearly show.  It only takes seconds to get a result from a basic drug screen and then a couple of days if it has to go to an outside lab for actual blood testing or extensive urine testing.  Drug tests are basically very simple tests.  You don't have to wait for anything to "grow" or things like that (like we do when they have to "grow" a culture to determine what kind of antibiotic treats a specific germ).

You could go ahead and call the office today immediatly after you have taken the test and have them make the appointment for you.  I'd also sign everything and get those dr's reports to the correct people asap.  This should help prevent them giving you meds with a much lower dose or something like that.  I believe I would request that paperwork today and tell the office while I was on the phone requesting the appointment.  You don't want to get delayed with "no openings" or other insane things and you need to tell them what you are experiencing after running out of meds.  This can not be good for your body.

I do understand that each Dr has the need to test his or her patients to be sure they are not drug seekers.  There are soooo many out there, but your medical files should tell everything about you and your history.

I wish you luck my friend!

I just realized why my pain doc when I was seeing her asked me to urinate on a strip!! HAH! They told me it was to make sure I wasn't pregnant.  And I'm in the medical field, they had me fooled!! turn

Loretta was just hoping you had the product that gives your relief and are doing better.  I still find the smell of fries irresitable, even when I worked at the golden arches for 2 weeks until I found a better job (at that time  Dunkin Donuts was a better job) hey I was only 15! LOL

In all seriousness hoping you're doing better Loretta. cool

Thank you everyone that replied. We still haven't got our internet, and don't know when we will get it. Jerome can't find our Cricket thing that you plug into the computer for internet, and we can't afford another one.

I called my doctor's office today to see if they had the results of my urine test, and the receptionist said she would send it back to the doctor because she didn't know. She asked my phone number and I gave it to her. Haven't heard anything. I'm calling again tomorrow. I told her I am in bad pain and withdrawls. I was hoping it would make a difference but it didn't.

I just feel like screaming. I don't have much energy at all. I know this is harder on me this time than the other times. I feel horrible.

Retired Mom I go to the same clinic, just in our town where it's closer. They have access to all my tests and everything just like my old pcp did. I don't know, but I'm really angry and aggravated. Thanks my friend. I miss being here every day :(

Everyone take care. I hope you're all having a low pain night.

love and hugs

So sorry for what you're having to go thru Loretta. Sure hope you can get your scripts very soon.

Why did you lose your internet service? Hope you get it back soon.
