yeah   yeah yeah yeah Yea for Tina yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah

Glad to have you as a Mod!  All of our Mods are wonderful and it is great to add another smilewinkgrin

I appreciate all of the work you guys do for us here!  We could not ask for a better group of people to be looking after our board.

I know some of the issues may be difficult and I have been in the seat of needing to be "gently corrected" in the past myself.  I appreciated the moderators doing their jobs, even though it was me who needed the correction.  Often times we forget how important this board is to so many people.  It is becoming more evident to me as I see the new members every day.

Thank you for all you do!

Hi all,

Well, you all know how to make an exhausted mom feel really good, lol... Seriously, though - thank you for your kind words... I really appreciate it. Those that know me know that this board means a lot to me and I'm happy to help out in any way possible. It's offered me a ton of support and friendships when I've been at my best - and definitely at my worst.

Thanks again, my friends. Love, Tina

Tina,
Congratulations! You'll make a good mod.

And Lindaloo - guess I never knew you left because I've not been around much. I knew of your health issues, so hopefully this means that's been resolved (I figure the chronic things are still there, sadly).

Hugs and Cheers to both of you!

Hi all,

Thanks for all your sweet words.... I truly feel I'm part of a great team of people that are very giving of themselves.... even despite many, many health/pain/life obstacles. I'm not only meaning the great moderators, but members, too... and the Admin (Peter) is the same way.... despite having multiple health issues, he gives back in so many ways - through HW, his blog, etc. It makes me feel inspired.

I've had several people say - how the heck are you doing this... w/ 8 kids, multiple health issues, etc. "You are superwoman".... I know that's meant as a compliment.... but the "supermom" myth was debunked many years ago for me, lol. I DID try to be that person for many years - and I think it contributed to me running myself into the ground.

I'm able to do this because I'm part of a great team.... and, also, it gives me a few moments during the day where I can focus on something else besides all that goes on here. I've always held some level of a "volunteer" job since I was 14 years old. I had to give all that up once I got really sick. So, for me, being here is such a way for me to do something I love - even w/ my health issues. Plus, I truly just love conversing w/ you guys, lol.

Take care all.... Love, Tina

Wow Tina, that is awesome news! So happy for you. You will make a great moderator...but please don't spread yourself to thin. I know how much you have on your plate. I haven't been on for awhile...how are the kiddo's?

Lindaloo, so happy to hear you are back. I read alot lately but don't post too much and I was wondering how you were doing. Just like I said to Tina, it's great to have you guys as mods, but please take care of yourselves first...I kind of think that's hard to do sometimes.

Once again congrats Tina and welcome back Lindaloo!

To Tina,

Welcome aboard.  You have been doing the job of moderator for some time, when you consider all the help you have given to the folks on this board.  You are truly a kind and gentle spirit, but a strong woman and it shows through everything you do.  God bless you and may your health continue to be good,  to where you can keep up with the forum.  I believe it will.

To everyone,

Thank you so much for the kind welcome back from everyone who posted.  It has meant a lot to me to be back now and I'm so touched that I haven't been forgotten.

Some of you were touching upon my health issues in the past year.  To address that for you, I had an aggressive form of endometrial cancer, had surgery, had chemotherapy and aggressive radiotherapy as well.  I am only year since the end of my treatment.  I have another year to wait before I can have my port a cath taken out.  (They give you a two year window to wait to see if the cancer will come back.)  It can also come back say, within the next five-ten years, but most likely, if it will reoccur, it will happen within the first two years from end of treatment.  So,  I have my energy back and am doing things I used to do.  I am very happy in my life and that is one of the reasons I wanted to come back as moderator.  I have missed you all so much.

For those of you friends who pray, please continue to mention me in your list of prayers.  That is all I have ever asked.  It means the world to me.

I am so happy to be among my friends here and know that I have missed you.  I haven't been gone completely, as I have been reading and posting once in a while, but not to the extent that I did before I was diagnosed.

Again, thanks for the welcome back.  You'll never know how much that has really meant to me.

God bless you, my friends.

And by all means, when you are down, ask me for help. I will be there.
