Hi friends. I just got an iPod, and I would like to know if anyone knows of any good relaxation music. I'm also up for pretty much anything that will help my pain levels (guided imagery CD/medical hypnosis).

Thank you!

I listen to Pandora throughout the day. It is an internet radio site where you can create your own stations. So, try an "ambient" station, or look up some artists. Google "relaxation music" and "guided meditation pain" and you'll find some good stuff too.

A few names I've noticed are:
Jon Kabat-Zinn, David Ison, and my father particularly likes Eli Bay.

Wow! It looks great! I'm going to go try to also make a lullaby station for my son:) Thanks so much.

I'd second the suggestion about Jon Kabat-Zinn. I've found his mindfulness stuff very helpful. If you're looking for relaxation music also, I'd suggest Tony O'Connor - a late Australian musician who has done some beautiful music.

I just tried Jon Kabat-Zinn, David Ison, Tony O'connor, and Eli Bay on Pandora.
They only have David Ison.

You can also search for "meditation" and then hit "stations". They have 25 different meditation stations listed -- some look better than others. I have added "calm meditation" to my list of stations.
C4-T4 Scoliosis (disk degeneration, stenosis, narrowed neuroforamen, bone spurs), RT hip and SI joint damage from car accident. Also, pectus excavatum, supraventricular tacycardia and mitral valve prolapse syndrome.
Current meds: Ultram ER 300mg daily, breakthrough - hydrocodone 10-15mg, or oxycodone 5-7.5mg. .25-.5mg ativan as needed for sleep, Verapamil 240mg SR (for tachycardia). [/gray

That doesn't surprise me too much - I think you can only get Tony's music on CD through his website or on iTunes... I've never seen it anywhere else. You can listen to some of it through his website though - http://www.tonyoconnor.com.au/ For me personally, it's certainly the best relaxation music I've found. Jon Kabat-Zinn again I've got on CD - only because I had one of his books recommended to me and a mindfulness CD of his came included with the book.

If anyone here has an iPhone or iPad - there are also some good relaxation, meditation and mindfulness apps on there.
