And welcome to our forum at Healing Well! You will find the people here, very caring and understanding. Also, once in a while, they even help you, like straydog did.
I feel for you with these headaches. You didn't mention whether you were male or female, but I know that migraines can plague females from the hormones they produce. I am one of those females. I had sporadic migraines during my reproductive life. Now that I am in menopause, I have not had a true migraine in a long time, (knock on wood)!
My daughter who is 40 now is plagued with these awful headaches and she has two little ones to raise. It's hard to just lay down and try to disconnect when you have two little ones. I often take them here to allow her to rest. She takes Inderal every day and Maxalt when she feels the migraine coming on. This combination seems to be helpful. She too, experiences the nausea and sometimes vomiting that coincides with the awful pain going on inside your brain.
You are very young to be experiencing these headaches, but not out of the question. I would see a pain management doctor or, like straydog suggested, a teaching hospital for help. I would seek out a doctor that specializes in headaches and the closest that I can think of is a pain management physician.
Please come back and post again and tell us how you are doing. We care.
