Do you know of or saw a television show called, Wipe Out? It's a fun obstacle course for adults and they compete with each other for a $50,000.00 prize. I love to watch it, but each time I see one of the contestants get smacked in the face, slammed to the mats or in some odd and painful position I feel their pain.

Perhaps it's just me or does anyone else share in my Wipe Out pain? I typically watch about 10 minutes of the show and then I can't stand to watch their bodies being twisted in half, etc. I can't even watch Americas Funny Videos for the same reason.

It's probably just me...my back is a train wreck, so I can feel each snap, crackle & pop! Funny, a year and a half ago, before my work injury, I would have loved to be on Wipe Out. We should make an obstacle course for people with CP! We'll need a bunch of paper, pens, a dozen lawyers, two dozen doctors, a waiting room, pharmacy and... Sorry, way too much time on my hands.

The shows that I don't want to watch anymore usually involve young people on skateboards or bicycles. They do really stupid things with them that end with a spectacular bone-breaking,ligament tearing, head smashing bloody wipeout.I'm sure many end up with chronic pain injuries that make them suffer for the rest of their lives.

We love Wipe Out!!!! But I have to agree with you both. I see people doing things on tv and I am thinking "They're going to regret doing that when they get older".

I see the Wipe Out course and it looks like fun until I see the contestants being smashed and beatin to a pulp. There was this one lady who was knocked back so hard her head bent under her shoulders.  She got up and said she was okay, but she heard a crack!  They played it back in slow motion and I know she has some serious damage to her neck.  I'm sure they sign some waiver form before they begin.

Oh how I long to be young and dumb again! Any small activity I try to do causes more pain.  My injury was caused by another reckless individual.  I see so many fun things I want to do or I did before and I can't do them anymore.  It kills me.  Oh well, I just hope no one who participates in those kind of games gets seriously injured.

If I could take away the pain from just one person, so they don't suffer like I do, then being in pain would be worth it.

I hope everyone who reads this is having a fun and pain free day!
