Hi all,
Many of you have been extra supportive during the last month or two during our troublesome renovations and I greatly appreciate it.  Today was horrible since I was "trying" to patch some small holes in the sheetrock instead of waiting on the painter next week.  I know it was a true mistake now though, since I stepped backward off of the small step-stool in my hall...directly onto a nail...which went through my socked foot and straight into my right heel!
My hubby had gone to check on the camper and take care of some more business and I was waiting on the heating and air guy (who never showed) so I thought I would hurry the process along....except that my sister had to come get my bleeding self and help me hobble to the car for the trip to the immediate care clinic.  Immediate is such a joke!  We waited four hours for a tetanus shot!!!  Of course, it was the only option on such short notice (and on a Saturday), so we waited and I got my shot....but what a mess!
Naturally I missed my dose of meds and it through my pain into a level I could not tollerate!  It's under control now...thank goodness, but it was a bad afternoon to say the least.  The final straw was when I read the printout of the meds I am taking and how much/for what purpose and realized that .....despite being given an exact printout of my medications/allergies/supplements....they entered all of the data wrong in the computer!  Who knows what will result from that...but I will be giving them a call to fix their mistakes on the next business day.
Sorry for the whine and vent, but I had to get it out so I can sleep.
Hope you all had a better Saturday than i did today!!!

I am so glad you are ok! I had a similar incident when I was 5 when my father was renovating our only bathroom. Ah, tetanus shots....Make sure you ice your arm and keep moving it to reduce the stiffness and pain it causes.

I pray your pain levels come down soon. Happy Saint Patricks Day! I hope you sleep well and tomorrow is a better day!

Hi Amy I'm so sorry that you stepped on that nail. Ouch for the nail and ouch for the shot. I haven't had one for a while, but I remember what it feels like. I hope your pain is better today. Take care my friend.

love and hugs
