Hey Chart, I know you have injections set up I believe for May 7th. If I am remembering correctly you had mentioned previously this PM dr would be doing some injections that are different than the run of the mill most PM drs do on their patients. Can you elaborate a little here and fill us in on these type of injections. You had said something about this was one reason you had specifically wanted to see this dr as he does things a little different than most.

If the mtx is making you nauseated get your dr to give you a script for Zofran to take about 45 minutes before the injections, thats one of its lovely side effects. A friend of mine takes them and it does her the same way.

Take care...Susie

They are steroid injections, the doctor gives you a light sedation, then the doctor will wake me up
and talk to me as to where in the disk space he puts the steroid..I guess it'll be done by how bad
the pain is in the disk space or the spinal canal...these injections will not be targeting the nerve roots like the more common injection
but the disk or spinal canal is the targeted..it's not an injection I've had done before and it'll be done bilaterally...

I guess for me it's different because it's not going after the nerve roots...and they wake you up during part of it
and then put you under sedation again...I'm not sure if anyone here has had these ones done...it still uses
steroids...

Maybe this will help better with the spinal stenosis...I sure hope so...
How are you doing Susie? Sure hope your getting some low pain days...I hope Texas will
not heat up so fast this year...we could use a milder summer....I got done with one small cross-stitch
piece it's a bluebonnet for my daughter Jazzi, her Graduation from University is next year and it's one of my present's to her...
Wish this site had a place for photo's...

Hey thanks for posting back. Perhaps when you go to have these done you can find out the name of the procedure for us. I sure hope these will work and give you the relief you are needing.

Take care....Susie
