I barely survived this weekend... it was a tough one. I've been down since about Wed. night w/ what I thought was just a "virus"... but ended up being an infection in my glands; ear infections; etc. So, I'm 2 days into a round of antibiotics.... I spent the entire weekend in bed or on the couch.... and lost 9 pounds since Wednesday. I'm forcing myself to drink and I did get some soup down today... going to the ER w/ hydration issues is NOT where I want to end up at.

Seems that several of us have had this crud... bleh.

So, hopefully this will pass in the next day or two... but I have a feeling it will be a few days before I get more strength back... I'm in the "negative" zone. It's making all my health and pain issues flare.

Hello All,

I'm back from my small HW vacation. I've been lurking some and gave up an posted on at least one occasion.

I'm doing better on my meds for now and even had a wonderful day out with my daughter this weekend. It was a nice day! I do have to admit that I slept for 5 hours straight when I came home (in the chair) and then went directly to bed...where I slept through the night and only got up a couple of times before about 9:00 the next morning. It's been a long time since I had a nice day out :)

My general contractor says my house should be ready in two days (I'm betting closer to by Friday) and that we should be able to move back in to all of the house by this weekend!!! I only wish there was more money to pay for this because we are so broke that it's hard to deal with figuring out how to pay. I'm hoping I can set up some type of payment schedule with my step-father for the balance (which I'm praying will be lower than I'm betting it will). Also, I found a new lady to help me with cleaning and I'm thrilled with that. She seems to be a good, honest person who has fallen on hard times and wants to earn what she can to make it. She will be helping me with the "big" stuff one day a week and helping my mother and step-father with the same things. Since we have very little carpet left in the whole house, it hopefully won't be as bad to keep up. We also put the new dog as an outside dog too. It turns out the "lady" who sold her to us LIED about the breed of dog (despite the registration). We're not sure exactly what she is, but she is too big for a pomeranean and looks more like an actual minature white sheppard. I don't know how big she will get at all. She's so much happier outside and so are we!

Well, that's about all in RetiredMom world. I am in the frame of mind to get my life back together and get my home back together. I need to do more to put myself back together and quit sitting around feeling pathetic. Even getting dressed makes me feel better....I'm sure you all understand.

Hope you all had a nice weekend!

Nervous on many levels this week (Wednesday), got to see my eye doctor for a follow up and he might get mad,
as I think a couple of my eye plugs are gone...I don't know why I go thru these eye plugs so fast...
they usually last for years...and I might get 5 months out of them...(Eye plugs help moisturize eye's
for people with sjogren's) and well my eye's just hurt...of all my pain sometimes the eye pain is the worst...
and I think the eye doctor might send me out to an eye surgeon (great another eye surgery) to get
the eye plug tied into my eye ducts...
and I'm not breathing good at night and had some wheezing this morning...I had to fire the last allergy asthma doctor...
so I don't have a new one yet...and I'm just so very tired...
Sure hope everyone else is okay...

This weekend wasn't so bad, especially since I didn't have any homework to do as we have a week off in-between quarters...So now homework to do today.

Yesterday was my 1 year Anniversary with my husband....We went to Atlanta on Saturday to get my books for the new quarter and then went to eat where we ate on our wedding day. It was yummy!

Yesterday was grocery shopping and doing little things around the house, which did not help my pain.

Today my pain is really bad :( Taken my breakthrough med but not helping.

I have my second round of epidural's tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good week!

I didn't do much of anything. I wasn't sure if my head was going to explode or implode.

Fairly busy here this week. 2nd oldest daughter has a track meet tomorrow.

The youngest had speech therapy on Monday and OT on Thursday.

And still working on training the puppy. I thought the kids tired me out. I think the puppy may do me in.

Been spending way too much time on Facebook. I have a little Farmville addiction. At least hubby says I do. lol I tell him that he;s nuts.

So very mad...don't y'all just love pharmacy errors...and how they costs us...
I was able to drive to my Doctor's appointment (Eye's) and then was off to pharmacy,
they said 2 hour wait...So I said okay, and they checked before hand to see if they had
Brand as my doctor wants this one "Brand" eye drop, and they checked and had it,
so I said I'd wait...I got there early and They had sometime to fill a script and said 15 more minutes so I said
I'd wait...get home and it's generic not "Brand" only like it was written...So I'm mad now and just need to vent...
this is the only store that carries this brand on hand so I know they have it...I'm just upset
they didn't read the script correct when the go to fill it...darn it now I have to wait until hubby
comes home as I can't tolerate that much driving...being a passenger is okay but the driving I'm so limited
on as it just hurts, me so bad...Darn it all....heck I wish I could put a few choice words in here...
Why can't anyone be trusted anymore...just one thing needs to go right...hope the needle stick tomorrow
for my IV saline goes good...then that's all I have to drive for the week...yeah...yeah...so so far
this week is bad...
Vent vent vent...
