Didn't really do alot this weekend. My back was telling me to stay on the heating pad. We did go to a friend's daughters 2nd birthday party on Saturday. Funny the kids all went across the field, over to the barn to see the pigs. My youngest didn't slow down as she went over 1 hill before heading up the 2nd one. She didn't realize in between the 2 hills was boggy and went swimming in the muddy water. LOL She came back and looked at us all and said you can tell how much fun we had on how dirty we are. And I had lots of fun.

My doc finally switched my blood pressure med so hopefully very soon this cough will go away.

Went out and helped hubby mow this morning. Best investment was the riding lawn mower. He's out with the push mower getting all the spots I couldn't get. Then he's moving my garden pond and plants because they are right where the deck is going to be built. My poor plants and pond have been moved so many times I'm surprised tthey are still alive.

We have a concert at school for our 8 year old tonight.

Tomorrow hubby goes into work at 7am and gets out Wednesday night at 7pm. So tomorrow I get to spend the entire day at the dentist with all 4 kids.

We have our second oldest daughters track meet on Thursday. Thank goodness its a home game, we live right next to the school.

No dr appointments for me this week. But next week I'm seeing the surgeon to set up having the tumor on my back removed. Its not coming soon enough.

Hope you all have a low pain and reat week.

I was doing quite well last week, but both Saturday and Sunday, I had to take oxycodone in the evening. That leaves me with 8 pills until my next PM visit mid-June. It will be close, but I should have enough.

We also had to deal with mice issues. My property is quite wooded and back up on to a creek. We've had a few mice before, but now we have a major infestations, catching 1-3 per day. We've been closing up all the possible holes and gaps (perhaps a reason for my extra pain), setting traps, etc.. Today, we have a pest control service coming.

Last night I finished off a paper and sent it to a journal and need now to return to editing my book (ug -- getting very tired of it).

On the 11th, I'm going in for a new MRI and then see the ortho doc on the 14th.
C4-T4 Scoliosis (disk degeneration, stenosis, narrowed neuroforamen, bone spurs), RT hip and SI joint damage from car accident. Also, pectus excavatum, supraventricular tacycardia and mitral valve prolapse syndrome.
Current meds: Ultram ER 300mg & 2-3x 10mg Hydrocodone daily. Oxycodone 10mg for BT. .25-.5mg xanax as needed for sleep, Verapamil 240mg SR (for tachycardia).

My back is paying dearly for this extra burden!…but I see the DR this week….and another epidural this next week.

I have been down in kentucky around Lexington this past week, I got an appointment with an Internal Medicine doctor to be my PCP and he is doing my referral to the Neurosurgeon so I can get my back surgery done down there! (I have family in that area, and this time I want to get my spinal surgery done where I have family close by) Anyway friday I got some of the results back from test he had done (Just normal chest x-rays and EKG and bood work) I have had a problem with shortness of breath for quite awhile now, and I even went to pulmonary rehab for six weeks last summer, Anyway this chest x-ray when read said I had an enlarged heart (Cardiomegaly) and mild bibasilar atelectasis, this is all new news to me, and he suggested I talk to my doctors at home and have them run more tests!  It does explain allot of the problems I have been having for the last year or two, with being short of breath all the time.
Anyway I just got back home a couple of hours ago, my whole back is killing me, as it is a long drive (about 350 miles) but nice to be home.

Hi everyone:) The weekends are great for me, b/c my husband is home, but the weekdays are quite difficult.

Momto8--I still don't know how you do it:)

Our little one has been doing well...growing, smiling, cooing, and just being very cuddly and sweet.

Lifting him kills me though, but I do feel like I'm getting a bit stronger, especially in my arms.

Still in therapy, using heat/ice/tens/medications. I wish I could be on here more often, but I seem to be busy all of the time now, and then when I get a minute, I just want to watch t.v. or close my eyes, but I still come here when I'm able, and think about everyone every day, and miss everyone here:(

Love and hugs,

Weekends are my "up" time. We often eat breakfast with S, DIL, grandkids across the field. It reminds me I have to keep in shape because those kids, the big ones too, need me.

I took apart the little fountain yesterday and I'm paying for it today. The slipping ribs are worse than the spine, and the shoulder is screaming. I thought the sinus infection was under control, but it's only gone from the lungs. My polio throat is so tired from swallowing thick stuff, it refuses to work - scary. I'm supposed to finish the 20 days on meds, wait 5 days and maybe get another culture. ENT not returning calls. I see the hand doc Friday about hand locking up on steering wheel, spoon, etc. Pain doc next week - maybe another injection at L2-3, and ask him about a more permanent solution to the rib pain. I'm not looking forward to flying across country for nephew's wedding, but I haven't seen BIL in many years.

Friday nights race tracl cancelled because a downpour of constant rain. So we didnt go to that track and stayed home. saturday nights dirt track raced so my husband went by himself. I felt to bad, pain in leg, and sinus headache. and extremeley tired.

My first floor has just our furniture in it now, the godsons furniture is all upstairs with him now. Now i can clean the first floor from wall to wall.

I started making checkered flags again because my husband gave away 3 flags at the saturday night track one to a first time winner, one to a big money race in Late Models and one to a pro stock winner. So that left me with one so I need to start sewing again.

Hi everyone As I have already posted, we got our internet back home this afternoon. We got our Cricket Broadband updated so it will work on our laptops with the Windows 7. I'm so relieved.

As far as our weekend, it was ok. We didn't do much. My pain was not too bad until Saturday night when I didn't change my Fentanyl patch before we went to McDonalds. We had to go home earlier than usual so I could change it. After it kicked in, it was much better.

I don't have any appointments this week. Everyone take care.

love and hugs

Wow....It's Wednesday and I never got around to posting from Monday. Our "newest" puppy died suddenly and we had to deal with that. This time I'm doing much more research BEFORE I buy an animal. The puppy was NOT a pom (as her papers said...CKC...Not AKC) and was apparently very sick for the whole six months we had her. I'd love to shut this woman down, but I don't know how to find her now.

Anyway, we found a new Yorkie and are picking her up in a couple of weeks. She needs some more time with her mama and we need a little more time to get over our last puppy.

My best friend's father passed away on Monday and visitation was Tuesday. The funeral is tomorrow and is going to be very difficult for her. She's had a rough year (loosing both parents) and she and her hubby are both CP....she pushes along and keeps busy...he doesn't (long story).

My home is finally calming down now and the construction workers are out. We have found new help to clean and she did a great job on her first day. I hope to have her back again on Thursday or Friday (depending on the schedule) but know I will have to work around her other job. That's fine with me because the help is wonderful!.

It seems like the week will be over before it gets started. I hope the rest will be uneventful and less painful than the first.
