Totally agree with great sheets and pillows!
I think I've mentioned it before...but I have a curved for the neck, tempurpedic head pillow. Then I have a tempurpedic like long pillow that goes when I'm on each side from my ankle to my high thigh area. This perfectly aligns my spine when I am on my side.
And then a smaller type pillow that I put in between my arms when on my side. This also supports my upper spine perfectly...It sounds cumbersome but it isn't...They easily "fllp" with me.
When I am on my back, I have a pillow that will prop up my legs...
I turn pretty much every hour on the hour as I can't stay in one position very long. But thankfully fall right back asleep. My dog actually wakes up and changes positions too each time as he has bad hips!....
Every since I got a great mattress...topper, sheets and pillows....as well as keep the room very dark....and 68 degrees...I have woken up A LOT less stiff and it's made a huge difference with keeping the rest of my spine in good shape.
Keeping the bedroom cool is very important for everyone as they have proven that above a certain temperature that we toss/turn and don't sleep well...
