  Hi Everyone

My knee wont go beyond 82 degrees due to being in the car for 5 hours on sunday.  Friday I was able to bend it to 94 degrees.

How discouraging that was.  My pain level increased and Im elevating the leg and applying ice

I feel miserable today

I just needed to vent.  Thank You
Betsey smhair

I'm sorry Betsey. While we have different issues.... I can relate to the discouragement and frustrations for sure. :(

Try to just rest... and use the ice.... and keep venting, and know we care.

Hi Betsey
Try not to stress over the bending of your new knee. Some days will be better than others depending on what you are doing. Getting that bend back is hard work but with perseverance you will get there.
I have two partial knee replacements. I used to find sitting on a chair and letting my leg 'swing' helped me bend it just that bit further. Do you use the slippery board and the 'doughnut' (rolled up tubular bandage)in you physio work in the US. I used to find that very helpful, just bending my leg as far as I could, holding it until the pain was bearable and then pushing it a little bit further. It's not easy. I will be going through knee replacement again soon, my partial one needs replaced with a full one now. But before then I have another back surgery to endure, then I need a plate and screws removed from my leg before I can have the knee replacement. I am having a horrible time just now with back pain, walking other than to the bathroom and back is hard and sitting is so uncomfortable. I am only 54 but feel much older most days. Here I am trying to give you hope and ranting away myself. I'm so sorry. Good luck, I known you will get there. Just be patient and don't stress!

I am 57 years old and I am worse now with my new implant knee than when I had my natural knee.  I am hoping that there will be better days ahead for me.

I hurt so bad right now.

I'm 24 but am told I'll probably need hip replacements in the future due to all the hip displacements I'm having. I'm really really worried about that. I know it's not knee, but I'm just wondering if the same sorts of things would apply to me.

I'm so sorry you're having so much pain, pain is awful no matter the source. Heat helps me, sometimes more than anything else. I hope things get better really soon.

My dear Betsey I am sorry for your extra special pain. I gather you could not stop and stretch your knee?
Take care
