Hi Jag I went down to Lexington and seen an internal medicine doctor and he ran some test ( typical new patient type of stuff) and he made the referral to the neurosurgeon that my surgeon up here recommended me to see I have an appointment with him the 19th of June this doctor is Professor and Chairman of the Department of neurosurgery at the University of Kentucky.  I will be anxious to see what he says, as my neurosurgeon here said I needed a foraminotomy at L3 and L4 and a far lateral diskectomy. From what I gather my surgeon here  studied under this guy that I am going to see down there.  Anyway I just got a bunch of paper work from his office that I have to fill out and bring with me to my appointment, then two days later  the 21st I have a follow-up appointment with my new PCP down there. I will be interested to see what he says about the test he ran, as the chest X-rays says I have an enlarged heart and mild bibasilar atelectasis. That is new to me, but would explain my shortness of breath that I have been having. I gave my PCP here the results and he wants them redone the 11 of June to make sure that they are legit!. ( Why is it that doctors just don't seem to believe test that are done at another facility, especially one that is in another state!)  Anyway my PCP here said he didn't think that would keep me from being able to have  back surgery.
I hope,  if this neursurgeon  down there, thinks this surgery needs to be done,  that I can have it done  real soon,  as I am thinking about maybe moving down to that area when my lease is up the first of November, and I would like to be in shape before the move. As for the my right hip I am putting the surgery  off until I get my lower back straightened out. It would really work out well for me to have everything done down there in Kentucky, as my sister and family said they would take care of my dog Pumpkin and I can stay with them to recuperate. The area is nice and I do like it down there.
Jag how have you been doing? how is your back? it is funny that you started this thread, as I was thinking about you, as I have not seen you post much and haven't heard how you were doing. So use this thread to also let me and everyone else know how you are doing. Do you still go to a Pain Management doctor? and wasn't he in Ft. Wayne? and it was a bit of a drive for you to go there? You know that is one of the things that really frightens me about moving, I have such a really good compassionate and caring Spine pain management doctor here, and it really scares me to have to find another one down there. The one I have here does so much, orders all kinds of test, and referrals to surgeons and all that. As I had previously mentioned he even referred me to a marriage counselor, before the divorce. I just can't imagine finding another Doctor that can replace him! Anyway Jag I really would like to here from you and find out how you are doing!
Chart that also goes for you too, How have you been doing, I think the last I had heard you were not doing all that well, why don't you also use this thread to up date us on how you are doing. I know that I for one would really like to know!
I want to Thank You Jag or thinking of me and starting this thread. I really appreciate it.

I hope you can find a lovely place to live in the Blue Grass State, Kentucky, I visited that state once
was nice...
I have a new Pain Management doctor, I think he might work out, he's going to have me go for plain back
x-rays and schedule a cervical emg, no fun there..and our insurance changes on June 1st and it's official that
the company my husband was working with got bought out by another company, and they might expand to
Australia which would be nice, but also means that we'll be getting passports and possibly moving from Texas to
Australia...but we'll have to wait and see, and just get passports for now, and those costs a lot of money $135
each and daughter is having a summer class at UNT due to schedule conflicts...and I'm having problems trying to get
the methotrexate injections every other week due to reactions so I'm only doing those every 3rd week and it's
not at the dose the doctor wants we at yet and it's not helping much and I'm in a RA flair with all the heat and humidity
Texas is getting right now...Houston gets a lot of humidity it's that stroke type heat here...but where Susie/Straydog is it's
very hot out there right now, very hot...once you get used to going in and out of air condition then it's okay...
It was nice to hear from you Whitebeard and Thanks for asking about me, I tried to keep it simple...I also try to stay active
as if I was in PT they'd say keep active and assign homework...and my cross-stitching class has me frustrated, she keeps
changing threads so often, I wonder how she'd feel in a class like this and doing all these crazy mixed up things, but it is coming along
good other than the teacher...I've change a few of her colors and on an all silk thread sampler, last class we had she pulls
out a cotton thread for us to stitch with so I already switched that one to a silk thread, ain't no cotton going on a silk piece
I stitch, ain't no way, no how, I still have some spunk left in me...
Now keep us updated on your move and all WhiteBeard, and Jag keep us updated as well... Many Prayers for you WhiteBeard.

I also think my eye doctor is extreme concerned about my eye's and I've been on steroid eye drops, I think the sjogren's might
be more serious for my eye's...( possibly will cause me to go blind)

So good to hear from you Whitebeard, Char, and Jag.
As for me, I have recently posted so I assume you guys know all about me.  My fibro flare is better, but I have that darn pain every day to some degree.  Oh well, that is life.
I will be looking to see if you get your surgery or not Whitebeard.  I will be looking out for news from both of you Char and Jag.
My brother, Charley, is out of ICU and getting bored of being in the hospital.  More than that I do not know.  I may try to call tomorrow.
God bless you all.
