Well I finally had my tumor removed today. It ended up taking alot longer than anticipated.

Apparently I also had an asthma attack as they were waking me up.

Anyway the incision spot isn't overly painful, but they intubated me and the sore throat is killing me.

I've been sucking on hard candy, trying to eat some soup. Jello, popsicles. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Justanotherday,

Glad that you got your surgery completed and that your incision isn't causing too much pain.

I've had that same sore throat after being intubated - it's horrible.

The only other things I can think of is Advil for inflammation.... pushing all fluids in order to stay hydrated.... maybe hot tea w/ honey... and definitely popsicles or ice for your throat.

Hope you feel better!

Thanks Tina,

I'm going to try the hot tea.

I'm on 800 of ibu every 8 hrs already along with 500mg of tylenol every 4 hrs and the oxycodone. I'm sure by morning it'll all be fine. But tonight it just feels worse than the pain I had from my last 2 c-sections. lol
