Hi Family

Had my orthosurgeon appt today 9 weeks after the total knee replacement.  He said that my pain doc needs to be more liberal with the meds to get me out of pain so I can do the therapy.

He wasnt happy that my PT didnt request an extension on the pt .  I think I will take a tour of the ymca and see how they can help me and how much the cost.

My knee wont bend and straighten out and he wants me to work on that.

Im scared.

My knee is so sore.  My meds arent taking care of the pain.

Hello Betsey! I hope they can adjust your pain med's. I was also thinking you told me that the surgeon said with the type of knee replacement that you got, you would never be able to straighten it all the way? I'm guessing more movement is needed and they are not happy with it yet?

Take care,

More movement is needed and doc isnt happy. Talking about manual manipulation. I am so scared about getting that done.

I see him in 8 weeks. He said that therapy will hurt real bad so my meds need to be adjusted not decreased. Pain clinic needs to talk to my ortho surgeon.

I hope I can sleep tonight.

…that makes sense Betsey, especially s=if the PY is going to be aggressive this time around. It may be painful, but worth it in the long run.

Lets hope your PM gets the med's adjusted for you.

Take care,

Hi Betsey I hope that your PM dr gets your meds adjusted for you so that the more aggressive PT doesn't bother you as much. I agree your surgeon needs to talk to PT. Take care, and keep us updated.

love and hugs
