The joints in my knees elbows and fingers HURT. They swell and feel hot. I get some relief from putting ice on them. When this happens I feel soooooo tired. My doctor did a blood test then said it wasn't RA. My sed rate was a bit high but not crazy high (32). At the same time my white cells were elevated and abnormal (too many immature cells).

Every time, the doctor has had me come back in for another blood test and everything is fine. This keeps happening on and off. Seriously I was scared it was Leukemia and finally told my doc to stop scaring me half to death sending me letters that my white cells were abnormal and just send letters saying come in for a blood test.

Whatever this is, it's flaring up the past couple days and I can only stay awake for a few hours here and there.

Any ideas on what the heck is wrong?

       Good morning Kaely!

I would like to ask if you are taking any "Statin" med's? ...such as "Crestor",... as they can cause joint and muscle pain. I also see that you list "Arthritis" affecting your "Knees" and "Fingers" ....so I'm not understanding the Dr saying its not RA here. I do not suffer from Arthritis so I have very limited knowledge on it.

Let's hope your Dr will find something that can be treated and give you some relief for it.

     Take care,

Nope no statins.
The doc said she thinks it might be arthritis but the blood test said not RA. So maybe Osteo? I don't really know, hence asking. I'm beginning to wonder if it's some autoimmune thing.

Many people have RA and never test positive. Xrays/Mri's are used to reach a diagnosis. I have JRA which is also sero-negative.

No rocckyd I don't see a rheumatologist. I'm in a bad spot financially and have no insurance at the moment. My pcp doesn't believe in Fibro so I'm not getting treated for that.
Ryobi, hmm looks like I'll just have to be persistent.
