Every so often we have been posting a review of the forum rules. However, located within the forum rule page are suggestions of the do's as well, and I thought we would post one of them today! idea

Again,... none!... of the rules, and or Do's of the forum we post here,... are directed at any one member, and are just reminders selected at random by a moderator.

So today!...we will review Do #4

        4. Please do!...Use good judgement. NEVER rely on information or opinions exchanged to replace necessary, personal consultation(s) with qualified health or medical professionals to meet your individual health or medical needs. Remember that what's right or has worked for one person may not be what's right for you.

Moderator Comments: rolleyes   One thing we all need to remember, is that we cannot diagnose health problems and or conditions here on the forum. We are a support forum for Chronic Pain. However that being said,....we see many members posting questions about symptoms and wondering if we have an idea of what it might be.

Personally, I do not have a problem listing the possibilities, however when doing so, we need to remind members that we certainly are not Dr's,... and cannot diagnose. It is the Sole Responsibility of the member to get a professional diagnoses, as the Do of #4 suggest, and we encourage it!

I think Opinions are fine, but should be noted as such.

To those seeking opinions, and to those giving them...Please!...be careful. wink

Kaely, as stated above,...not one of these post are directed at anyone...Period! We have been posting the rules here from time to time, and will continue to post the Do's as well. I have had some health and work issues, and have been away from the forum for several weeks,....but have been posting these off and on a few months prior to your joining of this forum. I'm now back to more of a fulltime bases...and thought I would start posting these again for our members and visitors.

We see this #4 asked a lot here on the forum, and I selected it for a reminder. They are all of course sincerely friendly reminders.

Many of our new members join our forum without first checking the forum rules, and we thought by posting these it might bring attention to them, and educate all of our members. Many of the rules have also been changed by the Admin recently, and need reviewed as well.

Asking opinions is quite all right, but the point of the #4 Do here, is to remind the members that it is their responsibility to seek out professional help if needed, and not to depend on opinions concerning their health and care.

....again...it's not directed at you..nor anyone else. Have a great day! wink  ...and Enjoy the forum's
