Hi everyone

Just wondering if any of you have found that you pain medication has caused you to shake or tremble ever so slightly. It's not apparent when I am sitting doing nothing but when I use my knife and fork I am aware of it and I have also noticed that my writing isn't as good as it was. I have no other symptoms at all. I did wonder if it was opiate toxicity but I am sure that is not the case. Probably just one of those things!!!!

Fusiongirl there are quite a few medications that can cause trembling, shakes, quivers, or just plain jittery feeling. Some of the bronchial meds will do that in some people. But just to be on the safe side, I think you should call your doctor and tell them about it, and see what they recommend. It would be the safest and most prudent thing to do. You know the saying "better safe than sorry!"
Good Luck to you! and let us know what you find out.

When I was on lyrica and cymbalta for periferal neurapathy I got the shakes. My hands would jerk if I was writing or typing. etc. I went off of them for that reason. I know a lot of meds cause trembling. run this question by your pharmacist too . They are more knowledgeable than your doctor sometimes when it comes to side effects of medication. Know it can be troublesome. Take care/cats
