Havent been around in ages nono, just trying to take care of myself the best I can. I have lost a ton of weight, hovering around 116-120, this has helped my joints tremendously. Not to mention getting me off of BP meds, cholesterol and that dreaded CPAP machine. Didnt do a thing for my backpain, which wasnt a surprise with all the damage. I have been able to increase activity, which has increased pain, but I really dont care. I have done several 5K's, Zumba, Cardio Kickboxing as well as running.

I do feel pretty good in general. With everything else gone I have been able to handle the chronic pain much much better. Great news is that I havent fallen since October! Bad news is that my reflexes have gotten worse and sometimes I quickly lose coordination in my legs, when that happens I need to abruptly stop whatever I am doing, sometimes not very gracefully. Bowel, bladder and perineal issues are still a problem, but we keep that in check pretty well. The RSD is a bugger, good weeks and bad weeks, that I try and ignore, but its time for my SCS to be done. Its scheduled for the 18th of this month and I am getting a bit freaked about the actual surgery, but I will get over that once the meds start flowing in the IV,lol.

I hope everyone is doing the best they can and I want to send out hugs to everyone that is struggling. I am hoping that during my recovery I can get myself on the computer and visit more often.

Best wishes,

Thank you Momto8kids, I really need to make an effort to stop by more frequently to post. I miss the chat area as well.

I would like to gain a few pounds at this point, but the nutritionist and PCP are happy as long as I am maintaining. After my SCS recovery I need to get moving on toning and stregnthening exercises.
DX: CRPS, Fibro, CP, DDD, DJD, OSA, Syringomyelia, Arachnoiditis, failed fusion. Fusions C5-6, L5-S1, hardware removal and removal of scar tissue. SCS trial successful awaiting placement.
MEDS:To many to mention, changes every week it seems.
