Hey all, I meant to post an update after my appointment on monday, but just haven't had the energy to do so. Even now, I just woke up after trying to go to bed early, I was hurting soo bad and this week has just been catching up with me, Im completely worn to a nub. Besides my appointment, I've been working on trying to get me and my son Medi-Cal, and it has not been an easy process, and I have more to do next week. Every time I think I have everything turned in that they need, I get a call saying they need something else, so it's one more trip down the hill, these trips are adding up, financially and physically.
So, my appointment on monday, yup, the doc says that I do have CRPS in both legs. What fun. He said we're on a slight race against the clock to get it into remission, and said that the clock is really unknown what's going to happen. Unfortunately, he said the best thing is PT, but my back isn't ready or stable enough. He said the spinous process fixation plate that he used just isn't stong enough or reliable enough on its own to hold a person's back in place during regular movement, and especially not for PT, even aqua therapy. He's now working double time to get me a bone growth stimulator, we'll see what happens with that. He also wants to include a GP and a new PM in my treatment now, and put the GP in charge, there's a really good one that I've been going to for years, and takes work comp, but at the time, putting him as primary wasn't an option. I've found out since my appointment that the PM in town will accept the work comp rates, so right now, I'm waiting the 2 week approval process so I can go in and see him, as well as the GP, who should be semi up to date with everything, since I make sure he gets a copy of everything.
On the other fronts, my pain levels have been escalating all week, and my energy is waning fast. Tomorrow, almost every county office is closed, so it should be some much needed rest, so I can spend some time with the new girl friend tomorrow night. That's right, new girlfriend! Hey, we've hit off like peas and carrots, and we've been waiting for that 1st date for many months, with a semi long history of being very good friends, so I wasn't too shy about
asking her to be my girlfriend, though I don't think I'll be rushing into anything else just yet. Still need to let things develop if they're going to, and just take it slow, and get to know each other on that higher level. I know if God wants things to go far, they will, but I'm in no rush to speed things along, I've been burned that way before.
Anyways, that's it for now, just hurry up and wait for approvals, and see what happens medically. Right now I'm in a great deal of pain, and can't seem to get these muscle spasms to stop to save my life. Think I'm gonna go lay back down again. My new tablet arrived by the way, I tried doing the chat on here earlier with it but was stopped short by an angry 3 y/o lol. I tried typing this earlier while laying down but just passed out. Anyways, it's awesome, and should be a nice novelty, and my son has already mastered this puzzle game I downloaded for him. Well, hope everyone is doing well, and has a good rest of the week. Take care all.
