I guess its my turn for the bad day. I went to get in my car and smelled overwhelming gasoline smell. I turned it off and called my mechanic (who is a family friend) He towed it up to his shop. Te gas line was dry rotted. asy and fast fix. I got to school (nokids-first day:)
and was immediatly jumped to finish some papr work. I have helped my teammates finish this work for years, no one offered ti help me. I was them told by my principal (who normally isn't like this) that since I came in at 10:00 I had to stay until 6. They have my doctors note putting me on half days. She said that only applied when students were here. Not what it says.

Sorry I submitted instead of new paragraph.
The weather tuned and my pain level has been the worst I've had in 3 months. But I have to stay here until 6:00!

Sorry for the vent, I'm sitting here in tears!

Recovering from a food reaction on Friday/Saturday. Feeling better.

Lost 4.6 pounds this past week on SCD diet for crohns.

Have a job-searching seminar tomorrow. Hour drive each way. I am hoping that the pain, between drives and the event, doesn't flare. But, if it does, it does!~

I had a nice weekend and my daughter graduated from Kindergarten today (I cried). This week my boss is off (yippee) and I have my doctor's appointment Wednesday. I'm hoping he approves the 5mg increase in my meds so I can keep feeling this well!

Care, I'm so sorry your day has been poopy. I hope tomorrow is better for you.

Thanks! I was told I could leave at 5 since I didn't leave for lunch! My principal then came down with the forms so I am again on half days through the week. She mentioned next year. Possible disability. I'm not sure I'm mentally ready for either of those thoughts. Just finishing up this year!
Thanks again for the sympathy:)

CARE - sorry you are having a bad one.

My weekend sucked. For starters, it rained the entire time.

Had two "bad pain" days back to back. Nothing was helping. Spent 5 1/2 hours laying around Saturday, and almost that much Sunday. My wife went off with our oldest son and grand kids, but I stayed home, as I didn't want to be the sore thumb, and I knew I was hurting too bad to be good company.

rains finally ended about 3 pm today. I hope. went to a 2 hour meeting, that was all I could handle, been home in bed ever since.

Tomorrow I finally see the CRPS specialist. Hope he's a good doctor and that I am not just throwing my money down the drain. Will report what happens after I get home.

Need to feel good, as we are suppose to drive to Charleston this coming weekend. Based on how I feel today, feels like a hopeless mission on my end.

Perhaps the rest of the week will go better.

Not looking forward to the week ahead. I have hand surgery scheduled for next Monday. They are removing one branch if one if the two tendons in my index finger. I have been told by the OT that recovery will not be fun.

This week is also clean up week at school. Since I can only take Tylenol this week, which goes not do much, my hand is extremely uncomfortable.

On Wednesday, I have my pre-op appt with the surgeon to find out if he is also going to do anything with the Dupuytrens cord which likely caused the last surgery to fail. According to the OT, he will likely deal with it. I will have to be fully awake during the cord part of the surgery which is scaring me, then general anesthesia while they remove the tendon.

I am looking forward to next Monday being over!

Rainy weekend here, and storms this evening. I'm a bit glad since little man's swim meet was cancelled. Of course, that means it will be made up at a later date, but I'm glad to be home for now.

Tomorrow is my GES. I'll eat radioactive eggs and then the dr will watch the eggs go through system. It will take about 4hrs-joy.

I see the surgeon on Thursday.

Anyways I have 3 doctor appointments this week, one is for a mammogram. Can' t wait for next week I get eye pictures again and will find out if I can get back on the mtx, so hoping I can reStart the mtx (methotrexate) I'm so tempted to just pull it out and take a doseage cause I'm hurting that much but will hold off its only one more week...
Many prayers to everyone. Well wishes to all for low pain days

…I spent Friday evening at my grandsons ball game, and Saturday after noon as well. Sunday, I spent most all afternoon washing and waxing my Harley, so I can get it listed to sell. I'm going to miss that hunk of metal.

I also smoked a couple of pork loins for the family…Yummy!

Back to work today, and it was a tough one, with lots of work to do. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to ride the bike to work, and continue to do so, until it's sold. Short 4mi hops I can do, but extended rides I just cannot, and will not ride if I can not ride in comfort.

Hi everyone
Nothing new on the pain front; same old pain day in day out.

Went away for the weekend will some girlfriends on a scrapbooking retreat. Had a nice time; just hated that I had to use ice in baggies for my head pain overnight, baggie leaked, soad pillow and pj's and ice in the cooler all melted and had none for the night after 0300. such a pain in the #ss to always have to have ice packs handy; they did not have fridge/freezers in our cabin. Oh well, what's a girl to do. LOL

Going to the cottage this weekend with the whole fam and weather is supposed to be awesome. A bit of boating, fishing and relaxing by the lake.

This weekend was hard for me. It marks 14 years since the injury that triggered my CRPS and though I know there are others here worse off, it's a hard realisation that I'm only 28 and been in severe pain for half my life. It cuts deep to think too that if the surgeon/etc., hadn't spent the best part of six years trying to tell me my pain was in my head, I might not have been here now :-(

Day 2 of trying to get my body down to my normal pain level.

Did a stupid this weekend but it was well worth the smiles on the kids faces. We went up to New Hampshire and drove the Kangamangus highway. Stopped at a few area's in the White Mountain National Forest and did a little walking. Last stop was a 800 foot hike up a mountain to see a waterfall. Not sure what I was thinking. We finally made it but thought I was going die in the process.

Hopefully this pain level drops soon because the kids want to do some camping the week after next. Guess we're going up to Bar Harbor and camping in Acadia National Park. The kids wants to see the sun rise one morning on the top of Cadillac Mountain. Guess I need to get the tent out and airing before then. Well maybe if it ever stops raining this week I will

My youngest has been having some issues with her ankle, so we ended up with an emergency appt with the ortho yesterday. Nothing is broken however they think she's grown faster in the last year than her achilles tendon has. SO she starts PT this week to try and stretch it out. If it doesn't work we go back in 2 weeks to ortho to figure out what's next.

We had one of the kids sports banquet last night and our oldest daughter's performing arts banquet tonight. I honestly can't wait for this school year to end. I'm exhausted running around.

Other than that not much going on here this week. No doc appointments for me thank goodness.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for starting the thread Susie.

Care: Sorry about the day had. Glad you were able to leave at 5.
David: Sorry about the pain. Hope your appointment goes well today.
Vickie: Injection on thumb sounds painful. Hope all goes well today.
Laura: Sorry for the way you're feeling. It's hard when you're young and you realize this will affect you for the remainder of yourself. But I always say, try not to take it on because it increases the physical pain.
To everyone who has appointments this week, hope it goes well.

There was not much excitement in my weekend. I had physio Saturday. The therapist said I should come for 4 more sessions to complete this course and then we'll see what to do from here. Keeping my fingers crossed that this well be it.
Lately my depression has been taking over. Just trying to stay calm and use my coping techniques so be able to get through the days.
My fingers and toes have been getting ice cold lately. This only happens when my thyroids are acting up. I'm thinking I may have to make a trip to the doctors office for him to get some blood test to see if that's the problem.

Wishing everyone a great week ahead.

Hi everyone My weekend was boring. We didn't do anything. Just the same ole same ole.

I don't have any appointments this weekend. I have an appointment on Monday to get the MRI of my brain done. It took a whole week for my insurance to approve it. I had to move the appointment with my pcp up because of it taking so long. I had to miss my appointment last Thursday to get my blood work done. I was very nauseaus and was afraid I would get sick on the way there. I tried twice today to reschedule it, but no one would answer the phone. I'm going to try again tomorrow.

My pain has been pretty bad form the past few days.

I hope everyone is having a low pain day/evening.

love and hugs

Hello all, for those of you who had a BAD weekend (((hugs))), I'm sorry that you had to cope with it all.

For those who have appointments this week I hope they go well, and your Dr's can provide much needed help and relief.

My weekend was terrible, a lot of severe pain in my feet and ankles. I'm totally miserable and can honestly say I've been praying for my early passing. Not that I would take my life, but praying that my condition be moved faster to its end, I my opinion isn't a bad thing either right now.

My anniversary was this weekend and it ended up basically being a flop. My daughter seems to have a MAJOR chip on her shoulder and I seem to be the receiving target.

Yesterday I saw the GYN/ONC, today was the Radation Oncologist, tomorrow I see my therapist, Thurday is a dental appointment for some fillings until I can have some crowns put on. Friday I have to call and fnd out what time I have to report for same day surgery on Monday June 17th.

I've been feeling so sick for the past two nights I've been in bed by 8:00 pm and managed to sleep until like 10:00 and then I'm awake and up till almost 4:00 am. My GYN/ONC ordered blood work relating to my lupus and leukemia. I have a call into my Dr, still waiting to hear back from them. It's now hump day (Wednesday) and I'm hoping I can manage to get thru the rest of the week. I feel as if I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown, I'm just at the end of my rope.

Hope everyone here has a better week, than they did on the weekend. I hope and pray that your pain levels are lower and you are able to find some joy and happiness in it.
