a month ago I woke up with severe right hip pain. I waited it out thinking it was the RA raising its lovely little head but when it continued I went to see my PCP. He thought it was trochanteric bursitis and gave me a coritsone shot. The shot eventually helped somewhat but the pain started getting more intense. I was sent for an MRI last Thursday and got a call yesterday that I have bilateral stress fractures of the hips with right hip impingement. Yay :/
So its hi-ho hi-ho back to the Ortho I go. Prednisone-the gift that keeps on giving
At least now my pain med was increased until I get into Ortho. I was trying to make it on 2-5 mg hydrocodone a day which wasn't cutting it at all. Now I'm on 2-5 mg 4 x a day. Yippee!
