Hi Tina, My sister has a pair of really nice and comfortable recliners, and since I just can not lay flat on my back I sleep in her living room in the recliner. It is not like my adjustable bed mind you but it works out pretty well! One thing that kind of screws me up, is my sister is on EST and my body is still on central standard time, as is also my med schedule. I am also a bit of a night owl anyway so being here on eastern time makes going to sleep even later. Anyway it is another late night for me tonight, as Saturday night after I take my 10 pm meds I fix all my meds for the up coming week. so by the time I am done with that it is starting to get late. Tina tomorrow morning I am starting my pain med, at ten mg every twelve hours instead of every eight. With the hard time, I have had at ten mg every eight hours I am not at all sure I will be to handle just taking it every twelve! We shall see, if this doesn't work, I have several avenues I can try. Even trying to find someone here in Kentucky, if that is possible. Maybe even try a different type o pain med. I must admit the thing that impressed me about
oxycontin, for me it gives me no euphoria or dopey feeling or anything like that, it just relieves my pain! Not at all like meds with hydrocodone, which makes me feel drugged and out of control. I hate that feeling! Anyway I have been on these pain meds for so long and I just want to see if it is possible for me try and manage my pain without the meds. I will admit as of right now it does not look promising. But I am pretty determined and stubborn about
doing things so???????n?? I am not ready to throw in the towel quite yet!
I do like your old stomping grounds Vickie the area is pretty down here. Hopefully I will be moved down here this fall. A friend of mine down here suggested I get one of those big blow-up exercise balls and try laying over it on my stomach to try and help stretch my back out and relieve the lower back and sciatica pain, although it doesn't take away all the pain, I do find that it does help some. I lay on it for 20 or 30 minutes when my pain is really really bad.
