For me - more relaxation, rather than direct pain relief - but I was browsing through different types of meditation and relaxation apps on my iPad and found something called Solfeggio Frequencies. There is some theory about
these sound frequencies being 'in tune' with body tissues...absolutely no idea if that's true or how it works...but I've found that listening to mindfulness or meditation material incorporating these tones helps me to relax more deeply than spoken word material alone.
