I'm on SS retirement. Personally, I will gratefully accept whatever increase I get. Most of the people I know who are working got no increase at all. The ones who are unlucky enough to be out of work got nothing, and have been getting nothing for the past few years while those of us on SS continued to receive our benefits.
Yes, a larger increase would be pleasant. But I consider myself much better off than many people in our country.
