OMG, I couldn't cross-country ski to save my life!! HOW do you DO that!? I was a total clutz when I tried. And yes I tried more than once. I just got winded and fell over a lot and didn't make much headway! My Mother used to love it, but it was too overwhelming for me! Very nice.
The only desert I've ever been to (on purpose) was the Mohave, and I don't recall seeing an oasis or I'd have loved to jump in. That sounds exciting. I like that "dichotomy" or that "transition" of being in a desert AND in an oasis. I love stuff like that. It sounds beautiful.
I've always wanted to go to the Dead Sea (that's the one with a high salt concentration, right? Not the one that's poisonous from sulfur and other toxic gases?) It's supposed to be very healing, for pain, and for people with skin conditions. Maybe I can put it on my bucket list?
Gosh, I'm trying to think, so here's another one:
- I used to sneak out of the house when I was a teen so I could go ride my horses at night and at dawn before school. Afraid of getting caught, I'd crawl into the hay lofts with a horse blanket and sleep there. I woke up one chilly morning with a MOUSE nestled in with me under the blanket. Needless to say, I sure woke up quite fast!!
How about that? :)
EDIT: I really enjoy the GAMES threads. They're fun, entertaining, they help us get to know each other better, they can distract us, recall happy and fun and crazy times. Please? Can we continue with various GAMES threads?
