In Feb 80mg of protocol was infiltrated under my skin causing g nerve damage and a chemical burn from the Inside out. This has resulted in scarring on my skin (severe) and internal pain that feels like fireants inside and wasp stings outside, have some reflex loss and stuff too just to make it more fun.
(no lawyer will take my case-they refused to access my port(new nurse-her excuse was they couldn't find a bio patch, I have horrible viens and after 2 sticks got blood return but it never felt right. she was never confident with it. I was in so much pain and ready to get my should put in place i was too stupid to not depand it be checked or my port me accessed
and placed a blood pressure cuff over the IV causing it to infiltrate( again don't know why I let them do that)
-and pushed a high dose(80mg) b4 checking the IV site. it instantly turned a red color I've never seen and birned like crazy. I was admitted to a burn unit at a local trama center 2 weeks later, after 2 other short admissions in local hospital
All this pain could have been avoided so easily!!
Now I'm back in pain management (which took Months to find a doc who would take my case and my insurance) They are ok, but being on Medicaid and all the new laws and regs just make everything sooooo hard.
My doctor said Dr 's can't be drs, and patients can't be patients bc of the government. We live in more of a socialist nation than we know.
And pharmacies!!! They make nothing easy and make you feel like a criminal everyone you get script
Then last week my shoulder(other arm) desired to act out again so I was put to sleep 5 times, once in OR to have it relocated and will be having testing for a 3rd surgery....seems it doesn't end
it was hard dealing with the need for an increase of meds and being under a contract. After a few rough days I finally talked to the right person and got a 3 day supply of meds from ER that they allowed me to fill.
then yesterday day I was suppose to have an appointment with PM to discuss new probs and meds and they called and cancelled saying one of the NPs had to leave (they still had one in office)
This is the 2nd time they.'ve done this. I raised hell and finally after getting the front desk person (who thought she was all knowing and refused to let me talk to the nurse)finally got me to a nurse I got in Today and got it taken care of-no big deal.
I wish the receptionist didn't think they had all the answers. If I had said ok to her persistent "lies" I would be sitting here miserable for two weeks.
And its frustrating bc as a patient if you cancel less than 24 hrs before your appt you get a strike(2 and ur out) and no shows=fired from clinic. I know things happen. But today when i went it it wasn't busy at all, actually the slowest I've seen it, things went smooth and on the phone they acted like there was no way on earth I could be worked in, like the place was overflowing.
My main issue is needing more than 1 BT pill a day, and they won't do that. Well, they will now because of this acute pain but not on a regular basis. and what the heck is up with the oxycontin OP pills? I used to take OC years ago and it worked like a charm but these new ones are weird. Its like I spit up some slimy stuff, and they don't work as well.
worth asking: would anyone know if tn Medicaid pays for Opana er? does it work well?
They don't oxycontin and won't even do a PA for it. And morphine does nothing fir me. If I need a PA when she changed my ER will it take weeks like some do or just a dew days?
Thanks for my vent and rant. I know that was really long and didn't really have one real point.
I'VE MISSED YOU GUYS!
