It was the replacement surgeon who prescribed it. I have an appointment with the real one in another week. Meantime, I think the therapy company is appealing.
My insurance's new rules don't allow maintenance therapy and require "significant" improvement.
I really am not going to recover, if that means totally. I can't see that pain will improve much since it's been pretty constant for the last half year. Some bits get better with the stretches I need a therapist to perform. Because of severe weakness and spasticity, I may not be able to function a lot better.
I WILL get significantly worse without therapy. The bits not getting stretched will contract again, causing severe pain.
I suspect this is a Medicare contract plan thing. If you're young enough to have regular insurance maybe things are different. I feel like I'm considered old, therefore disposable.
