Hi all, hopefully someone can help me out. I have a left flank pain that has been going for months and it has been a crazy year for me. I am a 20 year old male.
I had two cases of several fever this year that doctors found I may have some underlying problem. The first fever on 31 August the doctor found I had subclinical hyperthyrodism and I had to go to a endocrine specialist. It was during this fever I developed hypertension. Previously, I had no noticable hypertension and has never been told before.
My endocrine specialist put me up on the young hypertensive work up(after I did a 24hr ambulatory blood pressure monitor test showing mild hypertension), meaning I have to do 24 hr urine test and doppler ultrasound scan of my renal artery. My thyroid function test was subsequently normal.
The second fever I was told by the doctor that my ecg showed inversion in T1-T3 and I had to stay in the hospital for a couple of days. However, the senior doctor found my case to be more of a juvenile t-wave inversion case and subsequently discharged me on the same day.

After that fever which lasted 5 days I had a persistent cough which lasted for 3-4 weeks.

My left flank pain started around the same time as the fever with T1-T3 inversion ecg and its a constant dull achy feeling sometimes it can be sharp and my blood pressure shoots up.
I dont know what is wrong with me and the feeling is really uncomfortable and seems to become more constant.
Im just waiting now to do my 24hr urine test and ultrasound results(radiologist put a arrow on something in the scan of my kidney) and she told me it looked like a cyst.
Anyone out there that can give me a slightest hint as to what is happening to my body? Any possible diseases or something I am just worried and hope to find out so I can remove the uncomfortable left flank pain.
Thank you so much for your concern!!

1st welcome to Healing Well.
I really don't know. You know way more than I do about your situation.20 is way to young to deal with health issues like that.

I hope someone comes along that may shed some light but I have a feeling it's going to take a Doctor.

Again, welcome and make yourself at home,

Rick

is the pain over that kidney with the possible cyst?
I"m sorry you have to deal with this now, and I hope it can be resolved quickly and easily.
