I work helping shelve items and some can be quite heavy. I have had problems within the last 2 months with injuries from hitting the back of my arm on objects. Since, than the arm has healed but now i have a pain when I touch the outside of the elbow bone and the pain radiates from there down the side to front part of the forearm. I don't have problems with my wrist and no pain touching any part of my arm except the outside indention of the elbow where the bones connect. I also have problems with lifting objects as well. Sometimes the pain feels like a burning sensation, but the pain is not severe. It is when I use it that i mainly feel the pain.

Does anyone know what it might be and how to treat it. I really need to use my arm due to the type of work I do.

Welcome to the forum, Special Needs.

We're not doctors here, so the best we can do is recommend you see a real one for diagnosis and treatment.

From my own experience a month ago hitting the palm of my hand hard on a rough stone, I can attest that it takes a very long time for a bone bruise to heal. I still have pain from that. [I was foolishly up on a ladder decorating the Christmas tree and stepped down 2 steps thinking I was at the floor. To stop from falling, I grabbed one of the fireplace stones very hard.]

Of course, you may have nerve or tendon damage and not, or in addition to, a bone bruise, so the best thing is to get a doctor to look at your arm.

You're way past ice for bruises, but for some people ice or heat helps with pain. Swelling should have gone down by now, but I've often been told to try Advil or Aleve to see if that helps inflammation and swelling. Still, I'd see a doctor!

Sounds like it could be tendonitis. I use Aleve when mine flares up. See a doctor. Always a good choice.
