My wife had problems with her supervisor that kept on getting worse until after about
4 years she quit. She did not tell the big boss it was because of her crazy lady supervisor.
They begged her to stay part time for a while which she did. Finally she told the owner about
her problems with the nasty super. She went back full-time with the owner as her boss. Eventually they fired the nasty lady that had been there over 10 years.
Now she likes her job again and is making better money too.
Honesty is always the best policy, if it is bothering you this much you have to tell them. Of course it's always best to have another job lined up.
And don't base your decision on what some nutty stranger on the internet says.
