Hi there!

Haven't been here for a while and now I'm back....
Doesn't mean I haven't had pain all this time, but it was at a point I could handle it (thnks to people here as well :) )

Now I have a new pain - a pain in my hip joint - I can barely walk and I can't sleep properly.
I did an X-Ray and have an ultrasound tomorrow and my doctor's appointment is next week, they saw soemthing in my X-Ray but I don't understand what it means....

My physiotherapist told me to do some streching for that, but it's so painful that I can't do it (first time ever I didn't do an exercise because of pain).
I'm just stuck with it. 4 weeks now.
Have been crying my heart out ever day since the weekend (and on my birthday as well).
I'm at work right now, and don't even feel like working at all.

I'm tired of this cry

Welcome back Sj and sorry to hear your having problems with something new. Can you say what they saw in the xray? A little stumped as to why a US instead of CT or MRI? Are you on any meds for pain or just the exercise? Do you have access to a pool or hot tub where you can begin the exercise regimen in water since it makes movements simply easier and not as painful by sheer weightlessness and the warmth helps loosen and relax? Getting relief with meds is important at this point making the pain of movement not so painful and therefore not causing you to falter in performance due to the pain. It's probably important to find a way to follow the drs plans, the exercise although painful may be preventing further problems and helping to heal whatever they suspect is causing them.

Wishing you luck and speedy healing along with prayers for relief.

Hi Vickie,

They saw "a thick shadow above the acetabulum". No surprise as this is where the pain is I guess. They mentioned a question - "Calcification of soft tissues?"
I ahve no idea what that means and I've realized I'd better wait for the doctor to diagnose it rather than look online, that's never a good idea.....

Don't know why he chose US and not somethng else. I'll do the US and then see how it goes from there....

I don't take any meds, I'm completely agaist it, because they always make me feel phsycally weaker. And meds ruin your liver at some point...
And this time I found a doctor who actaully agrees with me about medications. In case he tells me that I need to take something for the hip then I will be willing to take this time, I'll give it a chance, but I need to know what it is first.

Do need to to go back swimming, just don't know when, I'm in such a mess...(my phone and computer both broke down, I'm writing from work - it's mornigng here now... I have so many other things to do...) I'm gonnan have to find time for this....

Sorry my server went down a bit but with soft tissue problems suspected an ultrasound would be next move, now it makes sense and yes Google isn't a good place to start treatment!!

Med information is correct but weighing out good and bad being immobilized from pain isn't any better and in some cases versus short term use way worse, something to think about if you can't get motivated enough to get the adequate therapy needed.
