I too had an EMG done on both of my legs and like the other members said it didn't hurt much at all. For me the very little pain or shock if you will call it was NOTHING compared to the nerve pain I was enduring. I watched him do it and I was a little worried why I couldn't feel the probes - I knew I had some numbness but I didn't think it was that bad. The only thing that really stood out for me was when he made me twitch up, it was kind of weird feeling. Like a bad cramp almost or a spasm.
It's good to have the testing done like they said because it will put on paper that either do or don't have some kind of nerve damage, and then you can cross reference where the nerve issue is coming from (for me it was L4 and L5).
Let us know how you do,
Hugs from Texas,
Do you tell you before you leave, or do you have to wait until your primary gets the results. I have several family members who think I am making up the pain and that the wheelchair is unnecessary so would be nice to show them.
