There are some Prescript
ion Anti-inflamatory Gels.Voltarin is a good one. There are some more effective but a lot of Insurances don't cover them. They usually come from Compounding Pharmacies.I've always liked the idea of applying something where it hurts.
Heat feels so much better to me than ice.A heating pad with a timer is good so there's no chance of falling asleep with it and getting burned.
I'm 53.My Mom is 79.She's starting to hurt a little. She has a "Bed Buddy.A pillow-like thing full of buckwheat that she puts in the microwave. Then puts it where her back is hurting.
Does you Mom take anything for pain?My Mom hasn't taken anything stronger than Zanaflex I gave her,and Alleve.
I'm sure you hate seeing your Mom hurting.I hope that her pain recedes.
