Hello, Ive had two Pulsed radiofrequency procedures within last 3-4 weeks for a chest neuroma I got in the port/trocar site after lap surgery. I have constant pain along that nerve since then 1.5 years. My first procedure helped for a week more than 50% relief then same pain came back, 2nd one its been over a week, I have about 50% relief.
I sought 2nd opinion from another doctor who said he will do local plus steroid every 2 weeks, and each one will help to get rid of pain eventually. I thought steroid can only be done twice/ year but Im in an Asian country now, so maybe this doctor doesnt believe in that. Is it ok to get local with steroid evry two week?
Also my doctor who did pulsed procedures said if I have 50% relief then I dont need anything done, if not then He can repeat this procedure again or try something else. I want to know does he mean I just manage rest of pain for life or does he mean I wait longer to evaluate this procedure before deciding what to do. Thanks
