hey AWE - sorry for your pain -
i have just recently dx'd myself via the internet with hip bursitis - also known as "hurts like a ***** " !!!
i don't intend to see a doc - not much they can do other than shoot you up with cortisone, and i'm a big wuss when it comes to those -
i think moving is a good thing, but only if you can determine what caused the problem in the first place - while resting is a good thing. it's not if resting caused the problem - same with walking -
i am pretty certain what caused it, so i have changed what i do so as not to continue irritating my hip -
so for me, ice, Tylenol, and walking/moving have helped and will hopefully get me back to 100% soon -
