Thank you so much White Beard for responding. I noticed at the end of your post where you had a lot done on your spine. Your question about my surgeon, he is an orthopedic surgeon, and his wife assists his operations, and does "pain" management for their facility. They have spread their business in three towns, (including where I reside) /two different counties. So if I we're to find another doctor, I may have to drive about 65 miles to the next larger city.
I had an MRI, I think sometime last fall. When I viewed it, it was totally dark and blank where the cage and screws are located, making me think if another one is done with the same results, it would not do me any good.
Another reason I wanted to be seen again, besides this awful pain, is this past May, my family came to visit. As I was heading out the door, my family's Chihuahua streaked past my feet, causing me to trip over his leash that was being held by my daughter behind me. My resulting back pain shot up to 10+! I almost left fingertip indentations in our wood porch rail with the effort not to cry or scream. I would not have wrenched my back if I had just fallen to the floor, but my Grandchildren were in front of me and in an effort not to hurt them, made an extreme twisting motion with my upper body, landing with a hard jarring motion sideways. Although I had pain prior to that incident, it jumped up to a higher level, and more constant than before.
I swore I would not have another surgery, (I am 61, and my tummy has been cut on three times now). Every time it always messes with incontinence, gas, cramping when my intestines get screwed around with. However, the longer I have to deal with this pain ---?
