Hi everyone,

I am having sharp, stabbing pain on the lower back right side of head that radiates across my head. I am also having some dizziness too. I have been told that my shoulder muscles are very tight and tense. Didn't know if this could be associated with this.

It's possible. Have a look at the muscular system and you will find the old song about the 'head bone's connected to the neck bone' relates to muscles too!

A physical therapist may be able to help with this, if it is a muscle issue. See your doctor and have a talk with him/her about it.

I had a prescription for muscle relaxants that was somewhat helpful in the short term. I also had trigger point injections for muscle spasms and learned stretching exercises from the physical therapist to help in the long term.

Thank you, I broke my hips in basic and a couple months ago I was having pain midway my back and burning. I have very tight muscles in the shoulder and neck area I have three small children so stress is there. Also having arm pain and sciatica. I do have a dr appointment tomorrow but of course I worry and think of the worst.
