It is GOOD to hear from you and to learn that this morning’s surgery to explore for displacement of the pump and to clear the concerning collection of CFS has all the markings of being successful.
You’ve been through the wringer. A lot of ongoing stress.
It clearly sounds as if today’s surgery was necessary and that the complications that warranted it (CSF leak and movement/flipping position of the pump) were beyond your control or ability to prevent. Be gentle with yourself knowing that none of this has been your fault.
Take heart in the pain relief that the newly placed pump is achieving. You’ve had some unexpected bumps in the road and hopefully your healing and recovery can progress on a smooth trajectory. Take heart in your surgeon who is acting in your best interests and in your wife and friends who are rallying by your side.
Focus on giving your body what it needs for healing.
YOU are more important than the job in question.
Things have a way of working out for the best. I will hope that this will be the case for you, as well.
Thinking of you, and thank you for taking the time and energy to update your status with a post.
