Hi Joan,

I'm so glad you posted here. It's nice to meet you! I'm guessing you should not feel so tired and down. Do you see your doctor regularly? I would talk to him/her about your symptoms because there's likely a treatable cause as to why you are feeling this way. It could be some form of depression especially if you are alone. There can be lots of reasons for feeling like you do and you don't have to continue. At least have an appointment with your doctor and see if they can find out why you are feeling this way.

Warmly,
Chutz

I suppose I can call and get somebody to help with household chores once a week.

Joan:
Having the assistance of a weekly housecleaning service can be a real emotional pick-up. Having a clean and organized home can lift depression by providing a more pleasant and comforting home environment and preserve your energy for other activities that can bring you enjoyment.

I was always able to keep up my home with pride . . . Until I wasn’t. I now have a weekly housecleaning and find it well worth the expense. I spend a lot of time at home due to frail health. My spirits are definitely higher with my home neat and clean.

Find time for a walk outside every day. People can feel undue fatigue simply due to inactivity and weakness. Especially when I feel sluggish I prode myself to engage in a walk. I always have more energy after a walk. Walking helps release natural endorphins that affect one’s mood. Put on a pair of tennis shoes, tie the laces, and head out the door for a short walk and see if it helps.

thank you. I find opening the windows helpful. I did manage to clean bathroom and kitchen yesterday. I worked on living room today. I can not go for a walk because of hammer toes and dislocation of the hip *birth problem --- born with*,

NEW NP (nurse practitoner) is helpful so that is a good thing.

It is really the allergic asthma which puts me into a hole. Since that is better, I am coping better now.
