Thank you for your response Straydog. I was afraid someone was going to say revision. I think that’s what I’ll end up having to do as the pocket seems to have gotten way too big. I’m pretty sure when I had the first blood patch I was instructed to move in a way that had the reservoir aid in making it larger. My head was hurting so much at the time that I wasn’t as careful as I should have been. I tried calling my surgeon again and he hasn’t gotten back to me. My PM dr knows the situation so I really don’t want to bother his staff. I have been super careful with the clothes that I’ve worn since surgery. So I don’t think that is the issue. I spent the first 11 days post op in bed except to go to the hospital for the blood patches. It looks like I’ll be having a long weekend in bed and in pain.
I am so happy I found this site. I’ve been through numerous other surgeries including 2 SCS that gave me no relief. I was really hopeful that this was going to go easy. I am getting some relief from the pump and am scheduled to have it bumped up again next week. So I am hopeful but a little concerned with the pump flipping like this already. As far as the PTM goes I haven’t been told anything about
it. I will definitely be asking him about
it when I go in for a bump next week.
Have a wonderful evening!!
