It's been 6 years since I broke my neck at C3. Paralysis from shoulders down, but I could breathe! Months of rehab and I can walk. I'm back at my neurosurgeon getting his opinion about the continuing and worsening of neck pain radiating to shoulder blade, biceps, down to numbness in fingers.

He pretty much dismissed me after the original surgery; all surgeons do that (IMO). I've followed up with PM - lumbar and cervical injections, then burning. It all worked, in succession, then stopped working. PM put me on just opioids, then said stop those and go on MJ. I can't do that! I'm of the generation that saw friends drop out of everything.
I've been to various docs, including neurologist who said last MRI showed spine was only a "little worse" than before.
I got my PM to refer me to my neurosurgeon, who moved into the same hospital. He now says he's concerned about the radiculopathy. I said I was only looking for the arm, which I'm sure is because of pressure on nerves, although I have awful leg and spine pain and spasms too.
Yay! I got another referral for MRI in all spine, also x-rays in different positions.

Keep on swimming, Keep on swimming ...

Hope this brings you out of the deep end and into shallow peaceful waters where you can just float for a while!

Alcie, depending on the testing results having validation once again can go a long way with your PM dr..

I like what PM said, hopefully you can get to the shallow end where you can float!
