Hi NY-Sooner, I don't believe we've had any members come through here that's had the procedure you are looking into. I can't remember the proper name of this procedure off of the top of my head, lol. There are several ways to treat this, it depends on what shows on an MRI, along with the symptoms.
I've had left shoulder problems from an injury that made life miserable at times. I had a lot of scar tissue that built up over time. It became so bad I could barely move my left arm without excruciating pain. I was sent to an orthopedic that did an injection & when he hit that scar tissue I nearly came off the table. I did not go back to him. I did end up having ultrasound therapy & that helped break it up. It took quite a while to get things calmed down, but I also delayed getting help.
I would urge you to look for an orthopedic that handles shoulders only. It truly makes a big difference having someone that has a specialty like this. Google search ones in your area & see who is on your plan. See your pcp & ask to be referred to a specific one.
