Alcie, I am going to cancel a appointment with my neurosurgeon for Wednesday. The appointment is to go over results of are recent MRI. I have almost decided to have another surgery before my back surgery. So my neurosurgeon appointment can wait.
My pain management doctor's staff schedule his appointments well. There are not more than a few people in the waiting room at one time. If my pain management doctor chooses, he can have patients come in for only a vitals check and possibly a drug screen, if they do not need to talk to him. So the staff could schedule it so no more than one patient is in the office at one time. There are only 3-4 people that work in his office including him. He sends prescript
ions electronically. If worse comes to worse. he can see patients using telemedicine or over the telephone or not have contact with them at all.
His wife is also a doctor and she works at a local hospital. There is the chance that he might have to be out of his office due to him and/or his wife being exposed or testing positive to the virus. He truly cares about
his patients. I am confident he has a plan for each possibility.
