Hi Susie, thank you for checking on me. I was actually thinking I haven’t posted lately and trying to put something together. Still having problems with left shoulder. It feels as bad as pre surgery. I now have major joint point going on. It’s really bad in my hands and fingers so hard to handle things. Also it’s bad in my knees and feet. Feet maybe the worst. Sometimes it also feels like bone coming out the bottom of my feet.

I have good days and bad days as far as my anxiety and depression. I have had a couple more panic attacks. I now don’t like going anywhere alone. That’s crazy after working my whole life.

On another note I will have my first grand anytime now. Can’t wait. 💕

B, about all of the additional pain you are having. Please consider going to the drug store or Walmart & buy a tube of Voltaren arthritis gel. February this year the FDA approved it to be sold OTC & none of the ingredients have been changed. I was using it years before this happened & my insurance paid for it. Without insurance back then it was super expensive, a couple hundred dollars. It's less than $20 a tube. I urge you to give it a try. I am thrilled to be able to buy it OTC.

Congrats on the soon to be grandbaby. Take every moment you can to be with this one. Your life will take on a new dimension. My 15 yr old grandbaby is my heart strings. He's a good kid, not just saying it because of who he is either. Makes excellent grades, he's on the sophomore golf & fishing teams at school. His parents continue to teach him well. New adventure is getting his learner's permit, oh my where did the time go, it flies by. This is why I say don't waste a minute with the baby.

Hang in there!!

Thank you Susie.
I have also been using Voltaren. My Orthopaedic surgeon prescribed it this time. It really works great. My mother used it for years before her passing. I have three doctor appts next week. I plan on discussing with them.

Have a restful weekend.

It’s been a long rough week. My 15 yo dachshund seemed to have a stroke or seizure on Monday. He didn’t close his eyes to sleep after that. I held him up close for basically 24 hours a day to keep him still. If not he would pave the floors. The vet said he had Parkinson’s. We ended up having to say goodbye to him this morning. He is wrapped in his blanket in his special bed, under a big oak tree in my yard. My heart is broken.

So i had bloodwork done to check for autoimmune disease. It showed nothing. That’s good news but why does ever joint hurt and I can barely walk?

Happy Halloween folks.

B, I'm so sorry to hear about your fur baby, it's so hard. We have a senior with heart & liver problems and I have many fears as a result.

Glad you cleared the AI testing. Hang in there.

Thank you everyone. On another note. I had my first in office visit in 7 months at pain management. I was tired of every month tele visits. (Costly w/ins). Now we are back on track to every two months. Also going to have a sleep study if insurance approves. Primary has ordered.

I miss my little buddy but he his way better off. He was pitiful last week.

We are still patiently waiting on our grand baby. Mommy is still working but could be anything.

Well we got our grandbaby a few weeks ago. She is beautiful and perfect. She is just what I needed this year although I have had two major panic attacks since her birth. One due to me thinking I was exposed to COVID and would have to stay away from her and the worst one was she actually was exposed at two weeks old by my mother in law. Her 14 days are up and PTL she didn’t get it. I had to have a special appt with psychiatrist though.

On another note. I have had to stay at a sleep lab because I have sleep apnea. Of course not the obstruction type. The type where your brain forgets to tell your lungs to breath.

Still seeing shoulder ortho. He says have no strength in my hand. I told him my life is pain. He said let’s find out and see if there is something we can do. I told him I can’t do anymore. This is my baby holding arm. He scheduled me for nerve test. Wants to see if maybe something going on there.

Life has changed a little for me. Seems as though medical problems never end.

Congratulations on your granddaughter!!!!! So glad she is well.

Hope you get what you need for sleep.

Wonder if all the work on your shoulder has brought on Thoracic Outlet Syndrome?

B, congrats on the new baby! This opens up an entirely new world to you getting to be a grandparent. I love it, it's hard to describe because it's totally different from being a parent.

My grandson just got his driving permit. He will be 16 in April, gosh time flies. I still pick him up at school & take him to golf practice 4 days a week. Well, that is unless the kids get put in quarantine. A week before Thanksgiving a kid was positive on another team at a tournament. School shut down for 2 weeks & they did a deep cleaning. This past Friday parents got an email a kid tested positive on Monday, back in quarantine for 2 weeks.

I hope you get to feeling better.

Being a grandma is so much different than being a mom. I can't explain it. But it is Amazing! Like our kids, they grow up so fast. I have nine grandkids ages 22 years old to 2 years old.

I thought it hit me when they first told me but naw, when I saw her for the first time. Yep the love is indescribable. We had to camp out in hospital parking lot that day. No visitors allowed. It gave maim my and daddy plenty time to bond and rest.

I had a nerve study on left arm Tuesday. It was normal. I am glad but still don’t know what is causing the weakness and pain. My physical science doctor who is awesome said go to a rheumatologist. Back to pain management in the morning. All I know is I am one miserable person. I know there are many others on here. My grand is the only thing that keeps me pushing.

B, glad to hear the EMG was normal! Good luck seeing the rheummie, I had a great one that helped me a lot many years ago. He was young & very smart. Once you get the name of him/her, go to Healthgrades.com & check the dr out. You can find out a lot of good info on drs there. I did this a couple of months ago when my husband was referred to a neurosurgeon. He had back surgery by one of top 5 neurosurgeons in our area & we were not disappointed.

I'm sorry you are miserable, it just sucks. Enjoy that new baby & have a Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas. I think we are going to have a rough New Year here in the south.
I got the Rheumy appt for a few weeks out. This pain is getting out of hand. Neck, shoulders elbows, hands, lowback, hips, knees, ankles and feet. Also down calves. That’s one part not in a joint. My hands and feet are awful to the point of walking troubles and gripping things. I need answers. The hubby doesn’t get it. He compares. He can hunt and walk in woods 7 plus miles. We are not the same. I know he hurts.

Still waiting on sleep apnea machine. I have complex sleep apnea. They first told me central. I have been up since 1 am today. Rest would help me.

My granddaughter is beautiful and perfect in our eyes. 7 weeks old.
Happy new year everyone. Stay safe.

Miss Biggienpain,
Hope not to cause much discord here but I have to say your husband comparing is not the right thing to do. I have degenerative disc disease in the same areas you do. I went ahead and fused the area which caused more problems.

I walk most days as much as possible but never can I make seven miles outside hunting which I guess is what your husband is doing. I walk inside during the winter months and try to do fifteen minutes at a time. It is really hard to do just this amount. I ache so bad everyday and if I don't move some during the day it is even worse. Your are right when you say hubby doesn't get it. I am sorry for your pain and I know how you feel. I also went to see a Rheumatologist. She sent me right back to pain management and said I cannot do a thing for you. I literally have to force myself to get off the heating pad most days.

My prayers are with you.

Thank you. This baby is my world. I thought would be a big pain distraction but naw. At 7 weeks and about 9 pounds she is causing the left shoulder and arm much pain. I’m not putting her down though. She is my world.
He doesn’t get it at all. Can be out in cold all day and walk for miles. There is no way way I could.
I feel each doc just passes me on. My neurosurgeon told me he would fuse me n
But I said no way. I saw what my mother went through twice. I guess I am searching for answers and the right combo of meds. Please pray for me in the months to come. I have my hearing in Feb.

Y’all have a great days pain free as can be.

Once you have surgery then they just pass you along to pain management. That was the best thing that ever happened to me. Now my only options are more surgery or pain meds. By the Rheumatologist passing me back to pain dr I knew there was no curative end to this.

If you are not in pain management I would seek one out. I get more relief from a combination of meds than anything else.

B, Happy New Years to you & your family! So sorry to read the pain has become so bad for you. Hopefully the rheummie will be able to figure things out.

There is no way I could walk in the woods let alone in the cold, lol. Oh, I wish I could but it is what it is. I do good to hang onto a grocery cart long enough to make it through the store. Then getting home & unloading the sacks is something else. But, I remind myself at least I am still right side up.

It turned cold & wet here in the past 2 days. Cold as in the low 30's which is cold to me. The rain just makes it seem so much colder too. Some parts of Texas had some snow west of me, the pics were pretty to look at. Ice is usually what we get, very little snow.

Take care of yourself & hang in there. Good luck with your hearing.

I had another appt with psychiatrist today. He seems to be helping with Panic attacks. I still have onset but can be talked through by my husband or sister. He really understands how pain and your head work so against each other. He noticed today how I couldn’t sit still for the pain. I don’t know if I have said I am on Lexapro, Wellbutrin and now Abilify. I’m getting worked up the closer it gets to my hearing time. Susie how can you private message me?
