Hi All,
I am glad to have found a forum to get support and advice. Just last June 2020, I had hurt my ankle and went through crutches and everything. It's still affecting me and I have a hard time being on my feet for half hour. Or even just doing everyday things at home. I wear a shoe in the house and a brace when I go places. The orthopedic Doctor said to wait 4 months to see how its doing. I may need surgery but I see so many risks on this. He had said that I almost tore the ligament on my ankle. If I am on my feet like when I was working at the school, my foot felt like pins and needles and was in pain when I stepped on it. Now I am even experiencing it at night while I am laying down. Has anyone had this happen? How long does it take? A year? Am I really going to need surgery?

Hi Jess welcome to the forum. My first thought is the dr said you may need surgery. What tests were done on your ankle, did you have an MRI? When is the last time you were seen by this dr?

Since you are continuing to have issues I would look for a sports medicine orthopedic for an opinion. They deal with all sorts of injuries on a daily basis.

Take care.
