I'm trying to ween off of Oxycodone and am having real strange painfull sensations in my arms and legs, hard to describe. It' kinda like the feeling of having a limb "fall asleep" but a painfull version with a strong to desire to twist and stretch my arms and legs, with a sort of numbness. Anyone know what this is and what will help.

Hi ttetro!

And welcome to Healing Well. Withdrawing from Oxy is VERY hard and dangerous by yourself and you're just beginning to feel the onset of symptoms. They will get much worse.

You can get medication from your doctor to ease you off. One is called Suboxone. It stops the symptoms of withdrawal while you come off. This is the safe way to do it. Please do get some help and keep in touch with us. We truly care how you're doing.

I guess I took the easy way out and went to rehab for two weeks.  Detoxed for one day and then used suboxone and various other drugs to help with withdrawls.  I was comming off of diluaudid.  It was two weeks away from home but I was cmfortable the entire time.  I feel really bad for you.  I'm worried.  Keep me updated.  By the way I do take other drugs now abut have not become dependant on them like the dilaudid.  It can be done.  Good luck

Posted above earlier today to someone with the same problem.  Please be careful.  See a Doc.  Keep us updated.

e done.  Good luck
