I have been on Lyrica for 2 months and i am noticing that when i first went on 25mg 2 timea a day it worked but a week later not so much so i called the doc he raised it 50 mg 2 times a day so that work for a couble weeks then stopped went back now he uppped it to 100 mg 2 times a day. Do you get tolerant of this med after a couble weeks that seem to be what is happening to me the doc said dont worry we can just keep raising it every month till 2000mg a day. Its seems to work well for 2 weeks them not so good. I dont have any side effects really maybe the getting hungry but that is so much better than not being able to walk lol and it does seem to help with the anxity a bit but just not long enough 2 weeks out of a month is good but would like the whole month feeling good

Hi Waltz and welcome. I couldn't tolerate Lyrica but many others have good luck with it. It 'can' add weight but it doesn't have to if you watch carefully. It kicks up your appetite but you are in charge.

Hi guys,

Never heard of 300 mg a day, been taking 3x75mg for about 2 years now.I never gained weight ,but never really eat too much when in pain. Definatly agree about the labido aspect, only if that was my worst part of my problems!!!

Oh well, I stopped reading and responding in the forum for a while but definatly have missed it now that I have started to read them again.

good luck for a pain free couple of hours......

Ollie, I am on 100 mg of Lyrica for PN in my hands & feet. I have had o problems so far. I went into Drugs.Com and looked up Lyrica and according to the professional part, Lyrica should not be prescribed over 600mg a day. They claim it has no further benefit over 600mg a day. Please look it up because after reading this, I sure would not go past that mark. Susie
