I didn't want to highjack anothers post, but I think I got a lot of answers. My mom had a medtronic pump put in about
a year and a half ago. Apparantly the cath slipped and she ended up with a tumor at the site. She just underwent surgery again to remove the tumor and replace the cath. They thought they woukd have to replace the whole thing on her other side. She just got back from the neuro and she may be having it removed. After this surgery she had bad pain different then the pain she originally had. She has numbness in her legs plus she'd getting bad spasms. SHe has also lost feeling related to having to go to the bathroom. So the doc is worried about
getting a nerve. She had a catscan today to see if he could see anything if not she'll get an MRI. But he said he may have to remove it.
My folks knew about none of these problems before hand and are obviously quite stressed.
