I began having ringing in my ears yest evening I think, at least that's when I noticed it. It almost sounds like those peepers thhat collect in rain ponds, or high tension wire noise. I thought it would be gone this AM but no such luck. I have been so busy today, that I didn't really pay too much attention. I am on Humira, B12 inj, pred, entocort, aciphex, synthroid, Bcomplex, calcium and ambien. Occas lortab. Has anyone had this as a S/E from any of these meds? I did have a lower B12 level in July after starting on remicade in June, but that caused me dizziness.  I also had a low potassium in July and took supplements for a couple weeks. I guess another call to a doc tomorrow, any ideas?

Well, your name is "Tinglebell" so what did you expect? LOL

Seriously though (if that's possible for me today) I've never heard of a connection with the meds you mention and ringing in the ears...you might want to see an otologist.

Keep us posted :)

Hi Tinglebell,

I get that ringing in my ears often. I liken it to cicadas. I notice it when I'm under stress or if my sinuses are acting up. My mother gets it a lot as well...and we live together. So, in looking at the stress factor, either one or the other of us usually has it going on. LOL! At times it can get pretty loud, can't it?

Have had ringing in my ears at least one year, started when my iron was low.
Hasn't stopped yet. Hear it often when I am tired.

Diagnosed CD June 2007. Have only used prednisone. Did make a difference while max dosed. Got my problems back when tapering.
Using Low Dose Naltrexone from sept. 2007. LDN is super! I am now in remission ;-)

Thank you for the responses. I haven't had a cold for at least 6 mos., but stress, lots. And I thought it was gone this morning but has come back again, and it can get very loud. I guess cicada is the formal name of the "peepers". Will try to get some labs done tomorrow, I will be there for an egd, actually an eus.

I would call the doctor just to be safe, I really wouldn't want to play around with something such as my hearing. Good Luck and best wishes with feeling better. I hope the ringing stops!
